What is a Water woman™’s Brand?

Waterman: Men who are considered water sport savvy.

For example, Laird Hamilton transcends being know not only as a surfer, but as a "waterman". He is savvy in any water sport he picks up, and / or creates. Hawaiian Lifeguards that surf, compete in outrigger, stand-up paddleboard, swim, and live their life around the water have earned the prestigious title of "waterman".

Water woman: To us, here at ZsuZsi, we wanted to define our brand for the Water woman´™. She, our Water woman™, is savvy; she participates in many water sports - competes in a few, and even recreationally participates in a few. She definitely has the ability know and feel the water, love it and enjoy it. She requires the right gear.

It is a lifestyle. Period.

We honor that lifestyle by embracing a WaterWomen™'s lifestyle, providing inspiration through our videos and content and products.

We are ultimately here for you - a pool swimmer, a surfer, a Stand Up Paddle boarder, a Kite surfer, a Wake boarder, no matter what your passion is. We are here to provide you with the water gear we all love and need. We have already started with our premier product: a GREAT fitting and attractive suit - that is our SportKini (truly redefining sporty swimsuits).

What style is best for me?

Lots of women ask this question, and it is a fun one to answer. Honestly, it comes to down to 2 things, body shape, and how you like your suit to fit.

Tops: We have several styles of tops (they really are an athletic top.) We redefined the boxy athletic top with our versions. We can easily direct you if you are on the "flatter" side or the "fuller" side on your top half. We also recognize that it is also personal preference.

Bottoms: The bottoms are the same way. It is very much a personal preference of how you like your bottoms to hugm and where on the body the bottoms site will determine how it feels to you, therefore you will know what kind you find the most comfortable. What is the ZsuZsi Athletic Company? And where is the name from?

The ZsuZsi Athletic Company is the parent company of which the Sportkini^® is our premiere product.

 It is named after our founder Stephanie’s Hungarian mother. Her full name is ZsuZsika (pronounced “zshoo-zshee-ka), for short you would call her ZsuZsi (zshoo-zshee).

If you were to translate it to American, it would be “Suzanne” or “Suzi”.This company is dedicated to Stephanie’s Mom because of her creativity, youthful spirit, and her Hungarian heritage.

What is a sponsored athlete/brand ambassador?

We do embrace and look for waterwomen, which to us means a woman who loves the water, (ocean, lake or pool as each as it’s own special texture and feel). She is not only savvy in one water sport, but a few. She embraces the gift of her body by taking care of it and living life with an adventurous spirit. She cares about the environment and lives life with gratitude.

We like women who know and understand community-life is not to be lived alone-the lone soldier is no longer cool. Lastly we look for women who embrace the concept of giving back, sharing and teaching to our younger women. These new up and coming young ladies want to be inspired and we encourage programs that inspire.

We do sponsor athletes, and have brand ambassadors.

A sponsored athlete is an athlete that we look to support as they move their way into creating a name for themselves in their passion/sport talent. Each contract with our athletes is different as it is created specifically to each individual relationship.

We choose our Brand Ambassadors not just based on accolades but on character. Today’s younger ladies deserve better role models, and the great role models deserve to be highlighted for their contribution to setting a higher standard and sharing their lives with our younger women. We are a stand for better role models for our younger women, and women that are out competing, training, living adventurous full lives are great role models, and we really love to highlight them. They have the cherished lessons from sport that are applicable to life to share.

Where are the suits made? What made you decide to do it this way?

Our Founder Stephanie grew up competitive swimming in Massachusetts only to then move to Hawaii after her Hawaiian Ironman Finish and then California. She was ultimately inspired by the lifestyle of always being in the water and around water, which then progressed to consistently participating in several more water sports -Hawaiian outrigger canoe paddling, open ocean swimming, flatwater kayaking, surfski and Stand Up Paddleboarding.

She was both inspired by her lifestyle of being a water woman, and by the many other waterwomen who inspired her, as they were incredibly skilled and talented in their choice of water sports as well. The life of her friends, teammates and competitors inspired her to create better water sports products, starting with her premiere product, the Sportkini^®. At this moment, Stephanie is based in Southern California and all products are made in California, USA! (we truly stand by Hawaii/California Inspired, California USA MadeTough™ Constructed products).
